KEYTEQ GETS ARTY

Richard Cowley asked us to help him exhibit his latest commission in the Renaissance Hotel Manchester.

The huge pieces of artwork were flown from 50m of truss using 8 manual chain hoists and over 100  gripples. Chauvet Legend 412Z and Colorado2 quad zoom tours  were used to light the exhibits.

The exhibition featured a street art analysis of Manchester’s evolving architecture. Cowley’s commissioned graffiti and photo collage panorama, Rebuilding Manchester, has been entered for a world record title because of its size, and viewers are invited to walk around it and pick out some of the city’s most notable people, buildings, and sights.

Among Richard’s favourite features in the huge work are images of an historic Manchester University building with 80 students in the windows, the new Co-Operative Group headquarters in the NOMA district, carvings on Manchester Cathedral, and a view of Rusholme lit up and glowing at night.

Even eminent scientist Alan Turing makes an appearance.
